This is probably the sweetest A Softer World strip you will read. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I spent the weekend reading through the entire archives of Questionable Content, which certainly lives up to its name with all kinds of wrong humor, but also delivers surprisingly well developed characters. I am amused. :)
365 update June 1, 2009

I’ve been pleased with my choice to follow Dustin Diaz’s 365 project. He’s not only a great photographer, he’s super geeky, funny, and is one half of an incredibly cute couple. He also includes all the strobist information for his shots, which photography geeks just lap up, but by doing it pictorially or by video, he makes it interesting for the rest of us as well.
When I saw the video for the picture above, I had to share.

The world is a better place for having xkcd in it. Case in point:
And yes, I’m now contemplating a career change to a marine biologist. Thank you Randall Munroe.

I got a good laugh from this as I’ve recently given up on a forum that I used to enjoy quite a bit. Props for the xkcd reference!

Oh, and bad news about those Easter eggs you’ve been enjoying…I just discovered where they come from.
Cinderella Classic 2009 April 5, 2009

The Cinderella Classic is an all womens bike ride where participants are encouraged to wear costumes. Girly themes abound – sequins, lace, tutus, Snow White costumes, mermaids, pointy princess hats, ladybugs, etc.
I’m all for womens cycling, but that level of girly is a bit of a stretch for me. So with a bit of inspiration from Bugs Bunny (Oh Bwoonhilde!) and the Beatles (with a little help from my (knitting) friend), I transformed myself into the biking Viking in tribute to the kick ass Brunhilde.

I had an awesome time on the ride – it’s extremely well supported, the weather was great, and this is the strongest I’ve ever felt on the bike. Good things are coming this season, I can tell!
